Frequently Asked Questions

What modifications do I need to make?

Super Safety

  • The Super Safety kit includes a trigger jig — you’ll need to trim the trigger using the jig included in the kit to fit the safety properly.
  • A heavier buffer is likely needed for optimal function; we recommend trying an H2 or H3 buffer.

Drop-in Kabuto (Drop-in)

  • No permanent gunsmithing or cutting is required; simply swap out your factory selector with the carbon fiber nylon one provided.
  • After installation, dry-fire the rifle a few times (unloaded) to allow the parts to “marry” — different rifles have slightly different tolerances, and this helps proper fit.
  • A heavier buffer is likely needed for optimal function; we recommend trying an H2 or H3 buffer.

What kind of trigger is needed for my FRT to work?

  • Tested trigger: We’ve tested our products using a standard mil-spec trigger and achieved reliable function.
  • Best practice: Start with a mil-spec trigger if possible. If you try an aftermarket trigger/drop-in trigger system, verify its function safely (unloaded).
  • Share feedback: If you test a trigger, please let us know — your report helps us update compatibility info for other customers

Will this work with [my gun]?

  • Our products are tested and proven on AR-15 platforms only. Other platforms use different lever/sear designs and are not guaranteed to be compatible. We’re working on support for additional platforms — sign up for updates to be notified.

Do I need both kits for things to work?

  • No. We offer two separate FRTs — each product kit includes everything required for that model. The only common additional item you’ll likely need is a heavier buffer (we recommend an H2 or H3).

What’s the difference between the Assembled and Builder’s Drop-In Kabuto Kit?

  • Assembled Kabuto: Ideal if you want a plug-and-play option. We assemble and bench-check the unit so you can install it and get it running faster.
  • Builder’s Drop-In Kabuto Kit: Perfect if you prefer hands-on assembly or want to save a little on shipping/handling. The kit contains every part needed; you’ll assemble the unit following the included instructions.
  • Support & tutorial: We have a step-by-step assembly tutorial posted on our Facebook page to walk you through the Builder’s Kit.
  • Recommendation: Both options are functionally equivalent once installed. Choose Assembled if you want convenience; choose Builder’s if you enjoy assembling or need the kit for a custom fit.

Do you ship to [my state]?

Gun laws and regulations change frequently. Super Safe Solutions is a two-person company, and we do not have the resources to verify local and state laws before every shipment. It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm that the product is legal to own/receive in their state and locality before placing an order.

By placing an order, you must confirm that you’ve checked applicable federal, state, and local laws and that it is legal for you to receive the product at the shipping address provided. If a product is restricted or prohibited in your jurisdiction, do not order it — we will not be liable for legal issues arising from unlawful possession.

What we do: Once you check the confirmation box at checkout, we will ship your order to the address provided. If you do not check the confirmation box, we will not process the order.
