Assembled Kabuto Drop-In (Edited Version)
Kit includes
• 3D Printed Carbon Fiber Nylon Three Position Selector
• Assembled Steel Internal Activator and Lever with a 3D Printed Carbon Fiber Nylon Housing
Compatibility
This drop-in is designed only for the AR-15 platform — it will not work in a CMMG .22 or an AR-9, as those use different levers. Mil-spec triggers are the only triggers fully confirmed for compatibility at this time; your mil-spec trigger does not require modification and will work as-is once the unit is fitted correctly. Other trigger types may work but are untested.
The system has been successfully fitted to many popular AR-15 builds, including PSA, Aero Precision, Anderson, Daniel Defense, Core15, and DPMS. While these brands have been tested and do work, we cannot guarantee fitment in every rifle platform.
These require an M16 bolt carrier groups, and an H3 non-solid buffer weight to function as intended.
Installation & Fitment Notes
On the assembled version, there are two prongs on the drop-in that push both sides of the trigger to cause it to reset. If the part won’t fully seat during installation, the smaller prong on the right is usually contacting the disconnector. Gently bend that leg outward a small amount with pliers so it clears the disconnector, and the rifle will close. This feature is intentional — the design prevents the unit from being modified or functioning like a DIAS.
Break-in & Finish
These are raw parts. Normally, cycling and dry-firing the unit 10–20 times in both modes helps wear off any rough edges, allowing the parts to better mate with your rifle’s tolerances. If you prefer not to cycle/dry-fire, the bottom of the lever may require light polishing. Each lever is tumbled in a deburring/polishing media before shipping.
Buffer Requirement
A heavier buffer weight (H2–H3) is required — do not use a solid buffer.
Safety / Use
Remember: this is an FRT. Do not hold the trigger down like a full-auto — doing so will cause premature wear and may ruin the drop-in.
Shipping & Checkout
Please allow 1-3 days for assembly time. Also, please double-check your shipping information before checkout!

This thing slaps
Okay so id like to start this review by giving the owner a huge shout out because we can all agree the sites for this things always look so sketchy and throw up in a hurry? but I took the chance after talking to the owner for about 30mins or so, he was very helpful and respectful to my concerns and went above and beyond cause I would have just told me to not buy the thing if I was him but he addressed every question I had. As for the kabuto itself, im honestly in awe with how well this thing runs and how fast it is. I testes it on my range which was 12/23/25 and put 450 rounds through it and had a blast (my wife drug me back inside or I would have done more)? okay so real quick ill go through my build list I used to run it just incase anyone wants to know if x or x will run with it, I used a bcm upper with a bcm auto bolt carrier which you need to run it because a standard will not work. I used a spike color filled snowflake lower and a cheap $70 mil-spec trigger i got in a lower build kit that I had to put in because it did not let my upper close with the drop in trigger I had in it already which was from rise armaments (their triggers that aren't cassette drop ins might work but ive not tested) and I also used the geissele super 42 h2 buffer with braided spring. When I 1st put the kabuto in and did the dry fire functions check it would not allow my bolt carrier to go all the way back so to fix that I sat there for about 20ish mins racking it in the 3rd frt position with very slight force. I would pull the charging handle back till I felt it start to bind, release it, pull the trigger and repeat. After about 15 or 20mins it started to work as it should so I went outside in my backyard, loaded a mag with 15rnds and did some shooting in semi and was getting some random double taps while in semi so I finally switch to 3rd and started just having fun and at about 150rnds the random double taps stopped happening in semi and I didnt get any other malfunctioning outside those doubles. After the holidays ill be getting one for each of my other rifles and if anyone is debating on getting one yourself, do it!!!! This thing slaps and is so much fun.
