About the Builders Kit
The Builders Kit is a complete do-it-yourself package — everything you need to build your own Drop-In Kabuto is included. All components are identical to those used in the assembled version. We strongly recommend watching the step-by-step builders tutorial on our Facebook page before buying to make sure the kit is right for you.
Compatibility
This drop-in is designed only for the AR-15 platform — it will not work in a CMMG .22 or an AR-9, as those use different levers. Mil-spec triggers are the only triggers fully confirmed for compatibility at this time; your mil-spec trigger does not require modification and will work as-is once the unit is fitted correctly. Other trigger types may work but are untested.
The system has been successfully fitted to many popular AR-15 builds, including PSA, Aero Precision, Anderson, Daniel Defense, Core15, and DPMS. While these brands have been tested and do work, we cannot guarantee fitment in every rifle platform.
These require an M16 bolt carrier groups, and an H3 non-solid buffer weight to function as intended.
Assembly & Fitment Notes
The assembled unit (what you will build from the kit) contains two prongs on the drop-in that push both sides of the trigger to cause it to reset. If the part won’t fully seat during installation, the smaller prong on the right is usually contacting the disconnector. Gently bend that leg outward a small amount with pliers so it clears the disconnector and the rifle will close. This feature is intentional — the design prevents the unit from being modified or functioning like a DIAS.
Break-in & Finish
These are raw parts. Normally, cycling and dry-firing the unit 10–20 times in both modes helps wear off any rough edges so the parts better mate to your rifle’s tolerances. If you prefer not to cycle/dry-fire, the bottom of the lever may require light polishing. Each lever is tumbled in a deburring/polishing medium prior to shipping.
Buffer Requirement
A heavier buffer weight (H2–H3) is required — do not use a solid buffer.
Safety / Use
Remember: this is an FRT. Do not hold the trigger down like a full-auto — doing so will cause premature wear and may ruin the drop-in.

Will buy again works great
Follow the video how do build, I did clean up holes on one of the small pieces to help the build go together easier, but not necessarily. Do recommend adding some Mayday’s Weapons lube to aid in function.

Kabuto drop in frt builder's kit
Bought this and a super safety kabuto works great I haven't got my SS working yet I think I need to grind down the high shelf for SS I think the kabuto is a perfect alternative for the high shelf would of gave 5 star but the 3 position safety feels a lil sloppy but works great

Just Awesome
Did not work in my old Colt a3 patrol rifle… It just simply didn’t fit… But I brought it to my son in law’s house and installed it on his Bushmaster AR and it worked Flawlessly…. Burned up a lot of ammunition and had the Sheriffs Office called on us. Definitely a lot of fun..!

Build kit
This kit has defeated me. I gave up & purchased an already built one. This will now be parts for my new one that's coming. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is I can't get it together to install it.

Parts do need massaging
Assembly for parts I received did need "massaging" the puns didn't fit the plates without so clearance. Also the composite body was kinda rough and all edges needed cleaned up,I think for the few extra bucks the assembled unit may be best. I did get it working so it's good product
